POSICIÓN: Incoming Inspection Engineer
Educational requirements:
· Industrial, mechanical, electromechanical engineering or similar
Experience Required:
· Two or more years of experience in automotive industry.
· 1 to 4 years of experience in similar position.
· Knowledge of tests, methods and measuring instruments such as Vernier, height gauges, micrometers, optical comparator, microscopes, CMM, etc.
· English medium level: able to read, write and establish a conversation.
· Experience in use and application of core tools.
· Desirable internal auditor in IATF 16949.
· Experience in problem solving methodologies.
Experience in the use of SAP (QM and WM models preferred).
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for components/raw material compliance with internal and external requirements as well as timely segregation of non-conforming material. SQA
· Develop the quality management elements applicable to your area.
· Provide support to the various process areas of the company on quality issues related to supplier components.
· Execute the quality system using integrated management systems including IATF 16949.
· Lead the supplier defect resolution process (8D's).
· Update on a monthly basis the KPI's assigned to you.
· Determine gauges, test and inspection equipment required for the product.
· Dispose of non-conforming material according to Thyssenkrupp Bilstein procedures.
· Oversee containment actions recommended by internal and external personnel, e.g., sorting.
· Responsible for initiating claims to suppliers on components/raw material that do not meet established quality requirements.
· Regulate supplier chargebacks and proactively escalate special findings to stakeholders such as production, logistics or SQE.
· Create and modify inspection plans based on drawings, lessons learned or customer-specific requirements
· Create and maintain master data in SAP for new components or changes
· Responsible for quarantine area with special tracking of suspect stock until disposition.
· Comply with requirements of: IATF 16949, ISO 14001.
· Participate in assigned product or process audits.
· Participate in all training scheduled by the company.
· Develop and deliver training on quality issues.
