A multinational company dedicated to the manufacturing of laboratory and industrial instruments is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring efficiency across procurement, planning, logistics, and distribution.
Description
- Lead and develop cross-functional teams across procurement, planning, and logistics, including sourcing engineers, buyers, and planners.
- Coordinate closely with global operations in China and Switzerland, particularly for the transfer of multiple production lines and materials.
- Oversee international logistics (air, sea, and land) to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective transfers.
- Drive the localization of components in Mexico to reduce dependency on overseas suppliers, especially from China.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve the end-to-end supply chain strategy, aligned with business and operational goals.
- Ensure accurate demand forecasting, material availability, and production readiness through effective S&OP and planning processes.
- Build and manage strong supplier relationships, leading cost-saving, quality, and delivery improvement initiatives.
- Support and execute an accelerated project plan, which includes multiple line transfers of 10 making this a high-impact, strategic role.
Profile
A successful Supply Chain Manager should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management with proven leadership in dynamic, high-complexity environments.
- Solid background in both strategic and hands-on execution across purchasing, planning, logistics, and warehousing.
- Strong experience in Purchasing and Procurement is favored.
- Experience in electronics or medical device industries is preferred; candidates from automotive or aerospace sectors are also welcome.
- Advanced English (spoken and written) is required due to regular collaboration with global teams.
