We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Fixed Assets/Payroll Specialist to manage the company's fixed assets and payroll processes. The role involves maintaining accurate records of all fixed asset transactions, ensuring proper payroll execution, and compliance with company policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, payroll systems, and asset management.

Responsibilities:
Maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate recording of acquisitions, disposals, and transfers.
Reconcile the fixed asset sub-ledger to the general ledger on a monthly basis.
Track the depreciation of assets in accordance with company policy and accounting standards (USGAAP).
Conduct periodic physical inventories of fixed assets and reconcile with records.
Coordinate with departments to ensure proper capitalization and disposal of assets.
Prepare reports on fixed asset activities and provide analysis as needed.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with property tax filings.
Process payroll on a bi-weekly or monthly basis, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, taxes, and deductions.
Enter and verify payroll data in the payroll system, ensuring timely submission.
Handle employee payroll queries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations.
Coordinate with HR for accurate tracking of employee benefits, bonuses, overtime, and time-off.
Prepare and file payroll tax returns, including quarterly and annual reports
Assist with year-end payroll reconciliation and reporting.
Ensure adherence to internal controls and procedures for both fixed asset management and payroll processes.
Assist in the implementation and improvement of payroll and fixed asset systems.
Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards related to fixed assets.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
4+ years of experience in fixed assets accounting and payroll processing.
Strong knowledge of USGAAP and tax regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Oracle, SAP) and payroll systems.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with ERP systems, specifically in managing fixed assets and payroll modules.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification is a plus.
