The MRO Manager is responsible for leading the purchasing and assisting with sourcing Indirect materials and services, Serve as primary lead responsible for purchasing and negotiation materials, corrugated, equipment, components, MRO and services from suppliers. Purchasing responsibilities include but are not limited to contractual agreements, generation/review purchase reports, cost savings initiatives, supplier quality improvements, metric generation/review and purchase expediting as necessary. This position communicates and collaborates with external and internal customers including Finance, IT, Operations and Customer Service. This role will lead new product sourcing supplier initiatives including supplier selection to meet program deliverables.
- Create RFQ and purchase orders and maintain relationships with suppliers to fulfill purchasing needs
- Manage and monitor performance from suppliers, negotiate pricing, payment terms and cost reduction activities.
- Source and negotiate pricing/terms with domestic and international suppliers.
- Develop contractual agreements
- Update and maintain ERP system with current supplier and pricing information.
- Manage pricing and invoice issues
- Monitor inventory levels, manage inventory turns and inventory value for several core categories.
- Develop Vendor Managed Inventory to simplify supply chain and improve working capital
- Arrange for and manage freight to meet the needs of the business as necessary

- report any shortage problem to program managers before impacting production lines.

Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong leadership and supplier negotiation capabilities.
- Proficient in ERP/MRP systems, inventory management, and procurement analytics.
- Proven experience in MRO, indirect procurement, and supplier relationship management.
- Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and vendor contracts.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office, especially Excel for spend analysis and cost modeling.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Working knowledge of Lean, ISO9001, and OSHA standards.
- Demonstrated success managing teams in a matrix environment.
Experience / Education:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, or related field required.
- Experience in sourcing or MRO procurement roles.
- Experience in contract manufacturing or industrial environments is preferred.
- Project management certification or experience is a plus.
- MRO plant-level or multi-site procurement leadership preferred.
