Position Summary
The Data Analyst will be responsible for the planning and successful execution of Data Governance projects. This includes but is not limited to setting internal standards and policies, auditing processes and data, data analysis, and other Data Governance projects. The main objective of the role is to help ensure that data is managed in a consistent and reliable way by applying best practices, processes, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively analyze various data sets for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with policies and standards.
- Write, implement, create, update, delete SQL statements.
- Build SQL statements for analysis, reporting or metrics.
- Communicate results with various stakeholders and teams.
- Follow and execute project plans, task lists, and established timelines based on an understanding of overall priorities and key deliverable requirements.
- Build repeatable processes for data analysis and reporting
- Support continuous process improvement by constantly reviewing our processes, systems, and capabilities; suggest improvements (via brainstorming, team meetings, etc.).
- Willingness and flexibility to work as needed on other, high-priority projects.
Key Skills, Knowledge & Professional Education
- Bachelor's degree.
- One to two years of professional experience (desired but not required).
- Excellent Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in managing projects and tasks to completion.
- Excellent project management skills, highly organized with the ability to prioritize effectively, detail oriented with demonstrated accountability and sensitivity to deadlines.
- Excellent spreadsheet abilities including analytical formulas (Excel, Google Sheets).
- Good team player.
- A high level of attention to detail is vital.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal clients.
- Understanding SQL and Snowflake.
