Position: Purchasing Manager

Location: Querétaro (Niuco – Productos Alimentarios El Plan)

Position Objective:

Ensure the profitability and competitiveness of the organization by directly impacting the quality of the final product and optimizing costs. Guarantee the timely supply of key inputs (80/20 malt and barley) to maintain continuous plant operations, aligned with the production and sales pipeline, and in compliance with financial and cost plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop sourcing strategies that optimize costs without compromising quality or delivery times.
• Identify, evaluate, and certify suppliers of raw materials, packaging, supplies, and logistics services (FS22000).
• Negotiate prices, terms, and purchase conditions to achieve competitive costs.
• Maintain and strengthen strategic relationships with key suppliers, fostering long-term agreements.
• Manage the department's budget, analyzing market trends to anticipate price variations in raw materials.
• Coordinate with Production and Logistics to avoid overstock or shortages, optimizing inventory levels.
• Lead, train, and develop the purchasing team to achieve goals and objectives.
• Promote sustainable and socially responsible purchasing practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Industrial Engineering, or related field (postgraduate studies desirable).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Purchasing Manager in the food industry.
• Knowledge of FS22000 certifications and management of agricultural inputs (malt and barley).
• Strong skills in negotiation, budget management, and inventory planning.
• Intermediate-advanced English.
