Responsible for coordinating and managing the general accounting function, concerning primarily the accuracy and maintenance of the ledger accounts and the resultant financial statements.
•Develops and directs the preparation of reports to compare actual results to plan.
•Directs the collection and presentation of cost data, analyses and reports for government and other programs pertaining to costs and production activities.
•These include variable and standard costs, variances and inventory valuation to provide comprehensive information for management decisions.
•Ensures the reconciliation and analysis of related balance sheet accounts, inventory accounts, ledgers, and journals.
•Directs the development and implementation of new and revised costs reporting and analysis systems, policies and procedures.
•Responsible for many aspects of personnel management, budget and resource management for assigned team.
•Develops and recommends complex accounting systems, methods, procedures and controls.
•Develops and/or modifies major policies and procedures for financial reporting and cost analysis in specialized areas.
•Participates in the preparation of budgets, and reconciles accounting data.
•Reviews, analyzes and presents financial data, including revenue projections and expenditure reports.
•Maintains various ledgers, journals, registers and other fiscal records.
•Allocates revenues to appropriate functions.
••Manages the close process, including coordination with Corporate, developing the close calendar, and analysis and variance reporting.
•Oversees the completion of ledger accounts and financial statements and ensures they are distributed in a timely manner.
•Provides and interprets data from accounting records as required from management. Coordinates accounting services and integrates with operating needs.
•Oversees the management of functions such as property records, general ledger, and general accounting services (i.e., payroll and accounts payable).
•Evaluates and makes appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization.
•Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulatory reporting requirements and guidelines.
•Develops and recommends complex accounting systems, methods, procedures and controls.

Requires a bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 8 years related experience. CPA or equivalent preferred.
Requires advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Practices and reporting in terms IFRS, US Gaap. Ability to lead and manage a team. Must have excellent written and verbal skills.
