Environmental Project Administrator - Accounting and Finance Support
GCL Environmental Ltd. is hiring an Environmental Project and Finance Administrator to support our Environmental Coordinator and Finance Lead. This hybrid support role bridges the gap between project administration, accounting, and finance. You'll help keep project documents, invoices, and cost trackers clean, accurate, and submitted on time.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Tracking project costs in internal and client-specific systems
- Processing third-party invoices and verifying coding accuracy
- Uploading QA-approved deliverables to client portals (FTP, Citrix, Dropbox)
- Supporting month-end invoicing with cost summaries and backup
- Auditing task folders to catch errors, duplicates, or missing data
- Maintaining internal records of deadlines, documentation, and compliance
You'll succeed in this role if you:
- Have 2+ years of experience in project administration, budgeting, bookkeeping, finance support, or billing and invoice coordination
- Are confident using Excel and comfortable working with structured folders and shared files
- Have a sharp eye for detail and can catch issues before they cause delays and problems
- Communicate clearly and follow through—especially in a remote team environment
- Bring experience from environmental consulting, energy projects, or the oil & gas sector (an asset, not a requirement)
Ideal fit: You're reliable, detail-focused, tech-savvy, and like being the go-to person for keeping projects organized and on track. This is a process-driven role for someone who enjoys organization, accuracy, and contributing to project delivery, management, and execution.
