Cheersson Queretaro Precision Metal Forming es una empresa reconocida en la industria de manufactura metal-mecánica automotriz, especializada en procesos de estampado y soldadura. Estamos en la búsqueda de un Gerente de producción y operaciones (PRENSAS Y TROQUELADOS) para unirse a nuestro equipo en Querétaro, Querétaro.

? MAIN ACTIVITIES AND KNOWLEDGE OF A PRODUCTION MANAGER IN A METAL-MECHANICAL AUTOMOTIVE COMPANY WITH STAMPING AND WELDING PROCESSES

Production planning and control

• Develop the master production schedule.
• Ensure production volumes meet customer requirements.
• Coordinate scheduling of stamping presses and welding lines.

Process management

• Optimize stamping and welding processes (MIG, spot, robotic).
• Ensure proper sequence of operations and material flow.
• Implement process improvements (Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma).

Personnel supervision

• Lead, train, and motivate operational and technical staff.
• Coordinate with shift leaders, line supervisors, and maintenance staff.

Quality management

• Ensure products meet automotive quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949).
• Supervise proper implementation of in-line controls (Poka-Yoke, SPC).
• Handle and resolve internal and customer non-conformities.

Maintenance coordination

• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance of presses, dies, and welding equipment.
• Work with maintenance to minimize downtime.

Safety and environmental management

• Ensure compliance with occupational safety regulations.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to environmental standards.

Cost and efficiency control

• Analyze efficiency indicators (OEE, scrap, cycle times, downtime).
• Identify and reduce waste (materials, time, energy).
• Evaluate investments in machinery, tooling, and automation.

Interdepartmental coordination

• Work closely with engineering, logistics, quality, maintenance, and HR departments.
• Participate in new product development and engineering changes.

?? KEY KNOWLEDGE AREAS

Technical / Operational

• Cold stamping processes (mechanical and hydraulic presses).
• Basic operation and maintenance of progressive and transfer dies.
• Welding processes: MIG/MAG, resistance (spot), and robotic welding.
• Use of dimensional quality inspection tools (calipers, CMM, gauges).

Standards and regulations

• IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001.
• Safety regulations (OSHA, local labor safety laws).
• Automotive standards from OEM or Tier 1 customers.

Management and continuous improvement

• Lean Manufacturing (5S, SMED, Kanban, TPM).
• Six Sigma (Green Belt level or higher is desirable).
• ERP and production control systems (SAP, Oracle, Infor, etc.).

Managerial skills

• Leadership of multidisciplinary teams.
• Decision-making under pressure.
• Conflict management and negotiation.
• Analytical thinking and results-oriented focus.

Languages and technological tools

• Technical English (desirable, especially for international OEMs).
• Microsoft Office (advanced Excel, Power BI).
• Basic CAD software for blueprint reading (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
