Location: Querétaro (Niuco – Productos Alimentarios El Plan)
Position Objective:
Ensure the profitability and competitiveness of the organization by directly impacting the quality of the final product and optimizing costs. Guarantee the timely supply of key inputs (80/20 malt and barley) to maintain continuous plant operations, aligned with the production and sales pipeline, and in compliance with financial and cost plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop sourcing strategies that optimize costs without compromising quality or delivery times.
Identify, evaluate, and certify suppliers of raw materials, packaging, supplies, and logistics services (FS22000).
Negotiate prices, terms, and purchase conditions to achieve competitive costs.
Maintain and strengthen strategic relationships with key suppliers, fostering long-term agreements.
Manage the department's budget, analyzing market trends to anticipate price variations in raw materials.
Coordinate with Production and Logistics to avoid overstock or shortages, optimizing inventory levels.
Lead, train, and develop the purchasing team to achieve goals and objectives.
Promote sustainable and socially responsible purchasing practices.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Industrial Engineering, or related field (postgraduate studies desirable).
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Purchasing Manager in the food industry.
Knowledge of FS22000 certifications and management of agricultural inputs (malt and barley).
Strong skills in negotiation, budget management, and inventory planning.
Intermediate-advanced English.
