Responsible for defining, operating, and controlling the methods, techniques, and procedures for the proper implementation of the Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Management System, in accordance with corporate standards and applicable legislation. Also responsible for identifying and implementing preventive and corrective measures to address risk conditions in daily operations, processes, equipment, products, and in the expansion and/or modification of facilities and buildings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to Safety, Health, and Environment.
Serve as an internal consultant on environmental, health, and safety matters.
Identify and evaluate regulatory and corporate requirements for the plant.
Participate in the design, construction, and approval of new processes, products, equipment, etc.
Investigate accidents and incidents occurring in the plant to determine root causes and implement preventive and corrective measures.
Analyze area performance indicators to identify trends and implement action plans.
Conduct inspections and audits, and coordinate the processes to carry them out with the involved personnel, including accident investigations and closure of corrective and preventive actions derived from them.
Monitor the company's environmental, health, and safety performance according to corporate requirements and applicable regulations.
Ensure that established goals and objectives are communicated to all staff through effective communication and dissemination mechanisms.
Education, Experience & Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field (required).
80% proficiency in English.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar position with solid knowledge of:
Metal-mechanical processes such as welding, machining, mechanical/electrical/electronic assembly, and painting.
Certification and administration of Environmental, Health & Safety management systems.
Risk identification and management.
Emergency plan implementation and coordination.
Evacuation drill coordination.
Risk analysis and evaluation.
