We are looking for a Tax Accountant with strong knowledge in Mexican tax legislation to support the financial operations of our new facility in Santa Catarina, Nuevo León.
The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, analytically skilled, and experienced in corporate tax compliance, including ISR, IVA, local contributions, and reporting to tax authorities. Solid experience in preparing tax returns, handling audits, and ensuring compliance with fiscal obligations is required.
Location: Parque Industrial FINSA I Santa Catarina, Santa Catarina, Nuevo León.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Public Accounting or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the tax area, preferably within manufacturing companies.
- Solid knowledge of Mexican tax legislation, including calculation and filing of ISR, VAT, local taxes, social security contributions (IMSS, INFONAVIT), and informative returns.
- Experience in preparing and submitting monthly, annual, and special tax returns to SAT and other authorities.
- Proficiency in accounting and tax management software (e.g., Contpaq, Aspel) with advanced user skills.
- Familiarity with electronic invoicing (CFDI) and its integration into accounting and tax compliance systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and file tax returns (ISR, VAT, IDE, etc.) with the Mexican tax authorities (SAT) in a timely and accurate manner.
- Analyze and optimize the company's tax burden within the applicable legal framework, identifying opportunities for efficiency.
- Prepare and review monthly tax accounting to ensure compliance with both federal and local tax regulations.
- Provide support in the accounts payable area, ensuring proper tax treatment of supplier invoices.
- Generate and present accurate financial and tax reports to senior management for decision-making purposes.
- Control and monitor electronic invoices (CFDI) and reconcile them with accounting records.
- Ensure compliance with all tax obligations, including payment of federal, state, and social security contributions (IMSS, INFONAVIT).
- Assist in the preparation of documentation for tax audits, SAT reviews, and external auditors, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Manage tax balances, compensations, and refund requests before the authorities.
