Technical Skills:
Oracle Database: Solid understanding of Oracle architecture, user management, and performance monitoring.
SQL: Proficient in writing, debugging, and optimizing SQL queries for data retrieval and issue analysis.
PL/SQL: Ability to read and troubleshoot PL/SQL procedures, functions, and packages.
Linux/Unix: Competent in using Linux command-line tools for log analysis, file management, and process monitoring.
Scripting: Basic shell scripting skills for automating routine support tasks and log parsing.
Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager, Nagios, or custom monitoring dashboards.
Incident Management Tools: Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Remedy.
Business Skills:
Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills to identify root causes and propose effective solutions.
Communication: Clear and professional communication with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

Incident & Request Handling: Experience in triaging and resolving L1.5/L2 tickets, escalating when necessary.

Change Management: Participate in controlled deployments and ensure application stability post-release.
Activities to perform:
Respond to incidents and service requests, ensuring resolution within agreed SLAs.
Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and propose long-term solutions.
Troubleshoot SQL and PL/SQL-related issues, including performance bottlenecks and data inconsistencies.
Analyze Linux system logs and application logs to identify and resolve issues.
Collaborate with development teams to resolve bugs and implement minor enhancements.
Participate in application deployments, including pre-deployment checks and post-deployment validations.
Document known issues, resolutions, and standard procedures in the knowledge base.
Support database-related tasks such as data validation, backup monitoring, and user access management.
Assist in system upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities.
Monitor application and database health using logs, alerts, and monitoring tools.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives and automation of routine support tasks.
