Role Summary:
The Design Engineer Leader will be responsible for leading and executing the electromagnetic and structural design of induction motors, ensuring compliance with NEMA standards, UL/CSA certifications, and familiarity with API 541 and other relevant industry standards. This role requires deep expertise in electromagnetic analysis (circuit method and FEA), mechanical design, and coordination with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance motor designs that meet customer and industry requirements. The position will involve guiding engineering activities from concept to production, ensuring quality, compliance, and technical excellence..
Essential Responsibilities:
· Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System to ensure compliance with internal and external standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
· Monitor key production and service processes, perform data analysis, and lead root cause investigations to identify opportunities for improvement.
· Develop, implement, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
· Apply quality tools such as FMEA, 8D, and other problem-solving methodologies to drive process and product improvements.
· Provide quality-related technical support to manufacturing, engineering, and service teams.
· Ensure process control and product quality in accordance with industry standards and customer expectations.
· Prepare and present quality reports, metrics, and analysis to management.
· Support supplier quality initiatives and contribute to qualification processes when required.
· Collaborate with global teams to align local quality practices with global standards and continuous improvement strategies.
Requirements:
· Master's degree or above in Electrical Machinery, Electrical Appliances, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (exceptional bachelor's degree candidates will be considered).
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in NEMA motor design, preferably in international companies or joint ventures.
· Proficient in NEMA standards, UL/CSA certifications, and familiar with API 541 and related standards.
· Highly skilled in electromagnetic analysis (circuit method and FEA) and structural design of induction motors.
· Chinese background with fluent English.
