The Mexico Accounting team is part of our global finance organization and manages the analysis and reporting for FIBRA Prologis, FIBRA Terrafina, and Prologis Mexico under US GAAP, IFRS, and local standards.
As Corporate Accounting Manager, you will lead and transform the Mexico accounting function, optimizing processes, developing talent, and ensuring compliance with global standards. You will oversee corporate-level accounting activities, including G&A, intercompany, debt, cash, tax-related accounting, AP, and AR. This role requires strategic leadership, operational excellence, and strong collaboration across functions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Manage end-to-end accounting for G&A, intercompany, debt, cash, and tax-related transactions.
Oversee AP and AR processes, establish KPIs, and streamline procedures for efficiency.
Ensure timely and accurate month- and quarter-end closings.
Prepare and review financial analyses and reports, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and local regulations.
Partner with Tax and Treasury teams on reconciliations, financing activities, and accurate reporting.
Drive process improvements to enhance accuracy, reporting quality, and efficiency.
Maintain accounting policies, documentation, and procedures for corporate areas.
Support external audits and provide required documentation.
Mentor and coach team members, enabling professional growth and leadership development.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Accountant designation required.
5+ years of management experience, ideally with both public accounting and corporate experience; public company, international, and real estate experience preferred.
Proven success in building and transforming accounting teams and processes.
Advanced expertise in US GAAP and IFRS, particularly in intercompany, debt, G&A, tax, AP, and AR accounting.
Advanced Spanish and English communication skills (verbal and written).
Strong ERP and Microsoft Excel proficiency.
Experience managing audits, multiple priorities, and deadlines with attention to detail.
Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process optimization.
