Transport and Materials Handling Group Leader - Junior (GL JR)
Job Objective:
Supervise and coordinate operations in the Conveyance area, ensuring efficient material flow from the warehouse to production lines using ERP systems (preferably PLEX) and Lean methodologies such as Kanban. Lead both unionized and non-unionized teams, promoting a safe, collaborative, and results-oriented work environment.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
5 to 7 years of experience in logistics or team supervision within the automotive sector.
Availability to rotate between 2 shifts.
Knowledge of logistics, process development, and TPS (Toyota Production System).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.
Experience with ERP PLEX is desirable.
Understanding of Kanban and Just-In-Time systems.
Experience supervising up to 5 Team Leaders and 40 unionized employees.
Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing applied to logistics.
Experience handling mobile equipment (forklifts, tuggers).
Responsibilities:
Coordinate tugger operators, forklift drivers, and support personnel in the Conveyance area.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and timely material delivery standards.
Implement and maintain material flow systems based on Kanban and Just-In-Time.
Use ERP PLEX for inventory control, reporting, and traceability.
Assist in personnel issue management with Human Resources.
Train the team on procedures and continuous improvement practices.
Participate in Kaizen events and waste reduction projects.
Oversee inventory control and logistics coordination.
