Descripción
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Science Lab Technician to join our dynamic science department at an international secondary school in Mexico. The school follows the IGCSE and IB curriculum, and the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting high-quality science teaching and learning in a global, English-speaking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up equipment and materials for practical lessons and demonstrations
- Support teachers and students during laboratory activities
- Maintain and safely store laboratory equipment and chemicals
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations
- Perform regular safety checks and risk assessments
- Assist in the maintenance of plants and science resources
- Provide technical advice and ensure safe working practices
- Collaborate with other technicians to keep labs safe, clean, and organised
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in a Science-related field
- COSHH and basic Health & Safety training
- Knowledge of chemical properties and laboratory procedures
- Experience working in a school or educational lab environment preferred
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to communicate clearly in English
