EHS Manager on our team, you will: responsible to Plant Management for managing the legal, governmental, and corporate requirements, procedures, and policies of Environmental, Health, and Safety area.
In your daily job you will:
- Lead the EHS program on site
- Show an equal, valid and active voice on site.
- Strong ownership and leadership of EHSS topics
- Partner with the site leadership team to drive, promote and improve the EHS&S culture
- Take ownership to promote sustainability within the plant, being the first point of contact
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives on EHSS policies and programs
- Implement and maintain the EHS management systems, considering the international standards, EHS Policy, legal requirements, customer requirements and others that the organization subscribes.
- Implement and maintain company procedures (included in EOS)
- Actively participate in the definition of awareness communication, internal and external, about the policy, objectives and action plans.
- Lead the preparation of Corporate audits. Develop corrective and preventive action plans, as needed. Ensure timely closure of Corporate findings (CAPs)
- Lead LWDC investigations and preparation of safety bulletins on site
- Ensure timely response of monthly environmental metrics and monthly safety metrics
- Lead the preparation for external and internal audits. Develop corrective and preventive action plans, as necessary.
- Lead ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 certification processes
- Lead the deployment of training programs driven by corporate
- Lead, develop, and manage EHSS staff members at the plant
- Focus on Leading Indicators (ex: training)
- Lead the execution and proper management of change of Environmental aspects and impacts identification and evaluation and occupational H&S risk assessment
- Lead the implementation and follow up of the Emergency Response Plan
- Lead the implementation and follow up of the Outbreak Plan
- Partner with the Plant Manager on conducting and following up on PSRB
- Drive the implementation and track of SOTs
- Support the execution and follow up of the Plan for Zero.
- Perform the EHS OSA at the sites and comply with defined goal
- Verify compliance with EHS requirements during construction of new sites.
- Provide heads up information and safety bulletin investigation within, respectively, 24 hours and 7 days.
- Deploy of Safety A3 / Safety Improvement Plan for the site
OUR BACKGROUND
Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:
- Bachelors degree in Environmental or related
- English level advanced
- +3 years of management experience in areas of EHS (minimum)
- MS Office
- Environmental and safety regulations and policies
- EHS Operating System (internal)
