About the Role
Job Title: Sales Executive - Customs Brokerage
Location: Mexico (Remote or Office) - In or Near a Metropolitan Area such as Monterrey, Mexico City, Guadalajara, Queretaro, Baja California
Reports To: Owner
Position Type: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
Position Overview:
This is a new position created as the owner transitions away from a direct business development role. We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced Sales Executive who will be responsible for driving new business, particularly focusing on clients involved in cross-border trade between the U.S. and Mexico. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to acquire new customs brokerage clients, focusing on industries involved in frequent cross-border trade between the U.S. and Mexico.
- Identify, qualify, and nurture potential clients, moving prospects through the sales cycle from initial contact to close.
- Maintain and update a pipeline of prospective clients, regularly tracking sales activities, opportunities, and progress.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to the owner, ensuring consistent focus on high-potential opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by offering tailored solutions to meet their customs brokerage needs, providing excellent customer service and ensuring satisfaction throughout the customs process.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth and efficient customs clearance operations.
- Stay informed of industry trends and regulatory changes to provide clients with up-to-date information and solutions.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of sales experience within the customs brokerage industry or a related sector such as freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation.
- Proven ability to craft and present sales proposals, negotiate contracts and close deals.
- Strong understanding of U.S. customs regulations and experience working with cross-border trade, particularly between the U.S. and Mexico.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish for outreach to potential clients in both the USA and Mexico.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
