About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our on-site team in Santa Fe, CDMX. This role is ideal for developers who are passionate about clean, scalable, and high-performance backend systems, and who thrive in a collaborative environment. As part of our engineering team, you will also mentor junior developers and help shape backend architecture and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust server-side logic ensuring optimal performance and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with backend systems.
• Optimize database operations and ensure scalability of applications.
• Define task scopes and contribute to the planning and execution of technical stories.
• Implement security protocols and data protection measures.
• Conduct code reviews, provide feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and debug backend issues in a proactive and efficient manner.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and backend development trends.

Technical Requirements?

• Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages: Python, C#, Java
• Experience with relational databases: SQL, PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with caching systems like Redis
• Containerization and environment management using Docker
• Understanding of RESTful API design and backend architecture patterns
• Knowledge of cloud services, especially AWS (Amazon Web Services)
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
