Ingeniero de MetrologíaWhat You Will DoYou will ensure the proper functioning of measurement instruments used for process control and methods through calibration, MSA studies, and equipment adjustment. Your role will involve maintaining the accuracy and reliability of measurement systems to support quality assurance and compliance with industry standards.
How You Will Do ItCalibration and Maintenance:
- Perform calibration of measurement instruments and methods.
- Maintain and adjust equipment to ensure accurate measurements.
Data Management:
- Capture calibration data in the Gage Track system.
- Generate calibration certificates and dimensional reports.
Quality Assurance:
- Apply MSA studies to verify the adequacy of measurement systems.
- Verify specific customer requirements using AIAG standards.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) customer requirements.
- Evaluate external calibration certificates and manage requisitions for external calibrations.
Program Management:
- Develop and manage calibration schedules.
- Replace Gage Go/No Go and other measurement equipment as needed.
Safety and Environmental Compliance:
- Adhere to ISO 14001 environmental management system requirements.
- Report and halt activities that pose risks to safety, health, or the environment.
- Participate in occupational health and safety incident investigations.
Team Collaboration:
- Support HPT (High-Performance Team) strategies and participate in team initiatives.
What We Look For- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
- Experience:
- Experience in Quality Control, Process Engineering, or Quality Assurance.
- Familiarity with automotive industry standards, measurement equipment, calibration reports, and statistical concepts.
- Knowledge of ISO 17025 and certified laboratories.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in calibration methods, MSA studies, MFG, device design, and statistics.
- Languages:
- Intermediate English proficiency (60%).
Preferred- Specialized Knowledge:
- Advanced understanding of environmental management systems (ISO 14001).
- Expertise in continuous improvement methodologies.
- Soft Skills:
- Analytical thinking, effective communication, conflict management, time management, and customer focus.
- Positive attitude, flexibility, and a sense of urgency.
