JOB DESCRIPTION
Regional Sales Representatives are responsible for prospecting and generating new business in their assigned region, preferably within this area. This position requires constant visits to assigned business accounts to generate new sales as well as the maintenance and development of existing businesses.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION
- Propose solutions for clients that comply with appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of Baumer hhs products and pricing structure.
- Identify leads, manage leads, and acquire new business and maintain existing businesses.
- Meet or exceed sales targets.
- Use company software daily, scheduling, and documenting activities, and developing lead profiles.
- Develop and maintain an awareness of market behavior and competitive trends and respond accordingly.
- Meet regularly with sales management to review sales activities, progress on goals, and the status of prospective customers.
- Identifies new applications, system updates, and new customer needs and recommends the best solution to improve customer operations.
- Maintains detailed knowledge of Baumer hhs products, pricing, policies, and procedures; knows which Baumer hhs products can be used most advantageously with all applications.
- Provides product and part number information to the customer as requested and as needed by the customer to facilitate direct customer ordering. Create formal quotes when needed based on customer needs.
- Works with Technical Services and Inside Sales to develop written quotes for customers when needed. Provides production line audits and application details (speeds, material, dispensing rates, etc.) to enable the development of the written quote.
- Advises and collaborates with the sales and marketing team of new markets, changes in existing markets, competitor activities (pricing and product changes) and needs of new or redesigned Baumer hhs equipment.
- It maintains the professional appearance, company-supplied equipment and vehicles in a way that reflects a positive corporate image.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and company meetings as needed. Travel to Europe may be required.
- Other functions, as assigned.
SKILLS
- You must present and communicate in a professional manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- You must organize yourself with good time management skills.
- Possess proven analytical/problem-solving solutions for the client and the company.
- Proficiency in computing in Windows and Microsoft applications.
- Previous sales experience.
- Experience in the development and execution of territorial sales strategies.
- Possess strong presentation, negotiation and closing skills.
- You must have the motivation and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals.
- Experience of corrugated, folding, or binding cardboard, a plus.
- You must have reliable transportation.
- Additional skills may be required to perform additional tasks specific to the workplace, department, or line of business.
REQUIREMENTS
- Legally eligible to work in Mexico.
- Engineering or bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Sales, or some other related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales of machinery and equipment, especially for packaging companies, with a proven track record of success.
- Availability for travelling constantly.
- English language proficiency
