• Cluster Installation and Configuration

  • Set up and deploy Kubernetes clusters (on-premises or in the cloud).

  • Choose tools such as kubeadm, kops, or use managed services like GKE (Google), EKS (AWS), or AKS (Azure).

• Node and Resource Management

  • Add or remove nodes from the cluster.

  • Monitor the health of nodes and containers.

  • Allocate resources (CPU, memory, storage) to pods and namespaces.

• Application Deployment and Management

  • Deploy containerized applications using kubectl, Helm, or GitOps practices.

  • Configure objects such as pods, deployments, services, ingress, configMaps, secrets, etc.

• Security and Access Control

  • Configure Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).

  • Manage certificates, authentication, and network policies.

• Updates and Maintenance

  • Apply security patches to the cluster.

  • Perform Kubernetes version upgrades without impacting service availability.

• Monitoring and Logging

  • Integrate tools like Prometheus, Grafana, the ELK Stack, or Fluentd.

  • Detect and troubleshoot performance issues and system failures.

• Backup and Recovery

  • Configure backups for critical data and cluster state.

  • Prepare disaster recovery plans.

• Automation and Optimization

  • Use tools like Helm, ArgoCD, or Terraform to automate deployments.

  • Configure autoscaling (horizontal and vertical), affinity rules, tolerations, etc.

Perfil del candidato

Key Skills:

• Strong knowledge of containers (Docker).

• Proficiency with the command line (kubectl).

• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Understanding of networking, security, and storage in distributed systems.

• CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator), (nice to have)
