We are seeking an experienced Product Manager - Merchandise to join our team to contribute to the function through the planning of marketing project activity project activity. You will lead the accessory category strategy in COS (Company owned stores). This will include development, commercialization, launch of new products, and optimisation of the existing range. The role will manage the total product life cycle of paint accessories in Australia in line with the Architectural Division's strategic plan.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning & Strategy
Understanding analytics to measure viability, market opportunity, product and brand performance over the product life cycle
Work closely with marketing, sales and operations to help identify new product opportunities from local and global suppliers build a new product pipeline that aligns with the Business Strategy.
Understand stock management processes and utilize to drive effective product implementation
Management of SKUs and pricing for the local market in conjunction with COS sales team
Project & Product Management
Manage the review of products and suppliers into our COS network and recommend changes to increase sales, profitability, stock turns and GMROI
Assist in the implementation of the ranges into the COS network, ensuring alignment to business objectives and priorities working closely with the Sales Team to ensure appropriate product training is delivered.
Preparing Initiatives Calendar, Launch Alert Documents, post program analysis to evaluate success, Sales Presenters, and any other marketing material required by Trade Sales Team to be effective in selling the New Product/Innovation to the customer.
Assist in the implementation of new products line extensions that will deliver an increase in sales
Develop promotional calendar and work closely with Sales team to execute and review activity performance
Work closely with local and regional Supply Chain and Procurement teams
Key contact for all paint accessories suppliers
Financials
Deliver projects within budget
Contribute to business financial targets of EBIT, market share, and profitability Reduce and manage Recoverable Assets and Magna Carta
Maximize profit contribution for the paint accessories portfolio
Additional information:
Travel (as required) within the ANZ region (up to 20%)
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Proven success working in a fast-paced environment where strategic brand-building efforts are complemented by hard-driving promotional activities.
Strong Project management
Understanding of the architectural coatings business, and PPG's product offer
Ability to manage complexity
Financial acumen
Bachelor's degree in business, Commerce or similar with a Marketing focus
2 years' experience in a similar role
