Descripción
Mission:
Establish an accurate control of quality process to ensure customer requirements satisfaction.
Minimum Requirements: Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 3 years of Quality Manager experience in a manufacturing environment (metal forming preferred), prior experience with Product Quality Processes and APQP and continuous improvement, IATF-16949, PPAPs, proficiency in MS office, the ability and willingness to work in a team-based work setting, excellent communication and leadership skills, and an excellent work record, including attendance.
1.. Support customer concerns and actively participate in 8D meetings.
2. Develop and maintain good customer relations at all personnel levels to understand the customer's process.
3. Build positive relationships at customer facilities and monitor reduction of concerns, PPM, etc.
4. Serve as a customer liaison for all issues with P&C parts at customer facilities, providing all necessary feedback and documentation to P&C manufacturing, quality and engineering personnel.
Track action items and follow through on status.
5. Analyze data (customer concerns, external PPM, cost of quality, customer scorecard, disruptions)
to propose actions to reduce errors and improve quality trends.
6. Ensure an internal quality control process, having people trained in order to ensure parts in spec for internal customers.
7. Ensure that corporate Quality System (IATF-16949) and related corporate procedures and systems are established, implemented and maintained within Mexico plant.
8. Support all internal, external and customer audits and follow up all actions recorded as result from the audits.
9. Promote awareness of customer requirements and assist with the development of educational material for new operating and quality instructions and standards to ensure proper employee education.
10. Report to top management on the performance of the quality management system and any need for improvement.
11. Complete and present annual performance appraisals for all direct report employees, outlining positive and negative performance, and documenting a plan of action for sub-par performers.
12. Know where Quality Engineers and Quality Auditors excel, as well as where they are challenged.
