About the role
The SAP Variant Configuration Jr. Analyst is responsible for assisting on the SAP Product portfolio for our Charlotte based products.
This person will provide efficient well-documented product designs using the latest Variant Configurator C methods and standards.
Designs will include SD Variant Configuration quoting and order functions in addition to Pricing, Purchasing, Costing and BOM inputs and interfaces. The incumbent in this role will provide expertise in these areas to support delivery of new product introduction and provide expertise to support teams in the remediation of production clients. This position is responsible for being an integral part of developing and delivering an effective Variant Configuration solution for our business which leverages SAP and industry standard best practices.
Requirements
As a minimum you must have :
- Bachelor Degree – Mechanical Engineering with Computer Science Knowledge.
- 2-4 years of experience
- Advanced English (mandatory).
- Manufacturing and Product Customization Experience.
Key Responsibilities
As SAP Variant Configuration Jr. Analyst, you'll responsible for:
- Being an integral part of developing and delivering an effective Variant Configuration solution for our business which leverages SAP and industry standard best practices.
- Provide configuration and analysis support for VC module, fully understanding the capabilities and limitations of the native SAP functional solution, including classes, characteristics, tables, dependencies, profiles, and super BOMs/Routings.
- Design product model architecture to ensure best balance of maintainability, scalability, and system performance.
- Facilitate business process and master data redesign ensuring alignment with SAP best practices.
- Gather, validate, and document VC product model specifications from product experts at business units. Efforts include interviewing experts and facilitating requirements workshops.
- Assist team members and customers with problem solving related to software application performance and usage; support on an as-needed basis (24x7) assigned applications and/or participate (through expertise) on problems outside specific assignment to ensure business operations are not interrupted or delayed.
Technical knowledge
- SAP (mandatory) - ERP and BOMs
- Experience with manufacturing product releases and BOM management including ECNs. (Engineering Change Notice)
- Ability to learn integration points between various business processes or modules including product costing, material management, procurement, and pricing.
- Ability to configure and code complex configurable materials with full cross functional integration. Adhering to established testing processes
