Python Developer – Remote (Freelance, Hourly) – Preferred Location: Mexico
?? About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Python Developer to join our remote team on an hourly freelance basis. The ideal candidate is passionate about building reliable software, has strong experience with Python development, and communicates comfortably in advanced conversational English.
You'll be working on dynamic projects with an international team, so clear communication and the ability to work independently are essential.
? Requirements
3+ years of professional experience in software development.
Strong proficiency in Python and backend frameworks (Django, FastAPI, Flask).
Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
Advanced conversational English – able to communicate effectively in meetings and written documentation.
Comfortable working remotely and independently.
?? Nice to Have
Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs or GraphQL services.
Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.).
Experience writing unit/integration tests using Pytest or unittest.
Agile development experience (Scrum/Kanban).
Availability during Mexico/Central Time (CST) business hours.
