Regulatory Permitting & Risk Identification Specialist
About The Role
For an important International Oil&Gas Company, we are currently looking for a Regulatory Permitting Specialist to work in Mexico City. If you're passionate and deeply curious about finding solutions to new challenges, you could be the perfect fit for this role.
To be successful in this Role, you need:
Ten (10) + years of experience in Permitting positions in the Oil and Gas Industry.
Experience in stakeholder management with authorities (CNH, ASEA, CONAGUA, SOTOP and other required state and municipal) and landowners.
In-depth knowledge of Mexico permitting requirements & procedure (national and state levels)
In-depth knowledge of operational activities and Hazard identification, assessment and control (risk management strategies)
HSEQ Management system knowledge (ISO 9k, 14k & 45k)
Sound understanding of Project Management principals
Proficient in audit planning and execution
Scope of work includes but is not limited to:
Regulatory Research and Analysis:
• Stay updated on local, state, and federal regulations relevant to oil and gas operations for this type of project.
• Analyze how regulations impact project planning and execution.
Permit Application Preparation:
• Develop and compile documentation required for permit applications, including technical reports and environmental assessments.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of submissions.
Environmental Assessments:
• Conduct or oversee environmental impact assessments to evaluate potential effects in project.
• Develop mitigation strategies to address identified impacts.
Stakeholder Communication:
• Engage with governmental agencies, local communities, and other stakeholders to inform them about projects and gather feedback.
• Address concerns and foster collaborative relationships.
Project Coordination:
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, environmental, and operations personnel, to ensure alignment with permitting requirements.
• Provide input to FEED & EPCI contracts regarding permitting & HSEQ risks topics
• Provide input to Workover related contracts regarding permitting & HSEQ risks topics
• Engage & coordinate legal supports in the application of permits
Mandatory skills:
Excellent English and Spanish communication skills.
Location based: Mexico City
