Main Purpose
Join PepsiCo Alimentos México's best-in-class Sales Trainee Program (PRODI)—an accelerated leadership program designed to develop future sales leaders. Over the course of six months, you will undergo an intensive learning experience, gaining the skills and knowledge needed to excel in sales, retail, and operations.
As a PRODI Trainee, you will work on strategic initiatives to maximize shopper conversion and retail sales acceleration, while developing value-added solutions for retailers. You will also align sales strategies with the "perfect store" concept, ensuring seamless execution through collaboration with front-line and middle managers.
Job Summary
The PRODI Sales Trainee Program is designed for recent graduates eager to gain hands-on experience in key areas of Sales, Human Resources, and Administration within PepsiCo Alimentos México. Through rotational assignments at different Distribution Centers, you will build a deep understanding of sales operations and develop the skills to become a Sales Supervisor.
This role prepares you to lead sales teams, drive business growth, and manage critical sales functions, equipping you with the expertise needed to achieve monthly objectives and annual sales plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in a structured training program covering sales, retail, and operations.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of Sales department processes and improvement opportunities.
- Supervise sales operations at the district level, managing teams of over 20 people.
- Drive market development, sales growth, and accounts receivable recovery.
- Coach and develop sales representatives to enhance performance.
- Contribute to technological and strategic initiatives aimed at increasing sales.
- Prepare for the District Sales Supervisor role by learning about sales routes for key brands (Sabritas, Gamesa, Tostitos, and Sonric's).
- Gain hands-on experience in route operations, business fundamentals, and the Direct Store Delivery (DSD) supply chain.
- Analyze sales data, generate reports, and communicate insights to senior management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on key projects and process optimization initiatives.
- Manage KPIs and performance metrics to drive decision-making and sales growth.
- Work closely with support functions such as transportation, administration, finance, and security.
- Conduct field research to identify sales opportunities and enhance client relationships.
Basic Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Engineering, Administration, or a related field.
- Strong interest in sales processes, business development, and strategy.
- Ability to manage budgets, productivity, and financial planning.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
- Availability to work Monday to Friday (7 AM – 6 PM) and Saturdays (half-day).
- Strong project management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with a results-driven mindset and the ability to work effectively in virtual and cross-functional teams.
