ResponsibilitiesThe EDS Trainne for PD will be a key player in translating and implementing requirements from the project leader and other stakeholders across all phases of the software development lifecycle for EDS web based applications. This role demands a collaborative approach, with a focus on delivering defined deliverables on time and within scope, participating in thorough software reviews with specialized groups to ensure quality and good practices adherence and identify areas for improvement, continuously incorporating lessons learned to enhance future development efforts, and actively engaging with subject matter experts (SMEs) for guidance and support throughout the project and implementation.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:- Currently completing a B.S in Computer Science or Software Development
Preferred technical qualifications: - Software Development:
- Programming Languages: C#/.NET (Object-Oriented), VB.NET, Python, HTML5/CSS3 and JavaScript is a plus.
- Databases: SQL, T-SQL (Design, Relationships, Queries, Security, Normalization)
- Web Development and customization: Experience with SharePoint workflows or similar features and web-based customizations or any other relevant web design.
- Version Control: GitHub (Preferred).
- Other: DLL handling, XSD (Schema) implementation, Flowchart design and interpretation and API knowledge.
- Adaptability: Understanding and translating existing code (including Excel macros) to new platforms and frameworks for scalability and migration purposes.
- Prototyping: Experience in reading mockups and creating prototypes to visualize expected project concepts.
- Programming baseline tasks: Capable of creating diagrams, workflows, and reporting validation/verification results clearly and concisely.
- Validation & Verification: Understanding both validation and verification processes, specifically reading and understanding test cases provided by specialists, and existing technical documentation.
- Documentation & Training: Experience in creating technical and internal project documentation for the different project solutions that are built, user guides, and training materials for software projects.
- Microsoft Office Suite: Proficiency in MS Excel and Access, including proficient level Excel macro design, development and general understanding of the developer tab.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a focus on technical problem-solving, requirement interpretation, and translating cascaded specialized requirements into logical and coded functions.
