You will coordinate engagement with suppliers, buyers and other parties involved to work under Virtual Pedimentos Scheme as part of Global Customs strategy.
ResponsibilitiesIn this position... You will implement and coordinate virtual pedimentos transactions scheme in Ford Customs operations and supervise other activities related to customs transactions.
What you'll do... - Coordinate with the other Ford Departments and supplier's, implementation of new suppliers to work under Virtual pedimentos scheme, ensuring documents related to the process are properly generated and maintained.
- Coordinate and manage custom broker.
- Inventory controls reporting generation.
- Review and define a process to manage discrepancies and returns with suppliers.
- Lead a strategy to automate these transactions thru MIC or other feasible schemes, work with IT, Global transformation department to move from manual compilation of information to an automated process.
- Define metrics and reports required for Customs that will feed Account and Tax activities related to these operations.
- Manage Post-entry audits to ensure Virtual transactions are aligned with MX customs regulations, including transactions performed in the past 5 years.
- Review, update or generate desk procedures as needed.
- Provide support in activities assigned by the Manager/Supervisor.

QualificationsYou'll have... - Bachelor's degree in International Trade or similar
- 4+ Years of Experience
- Bilingual Spanish/English
Even better, you may have... - Experience in Customs system rollouts and/or maintenance.
- Experience in virtual pedimentos
- Experience coordinating custom broker and Customs service providers.
- Prior involvement in testing of customs software solutions / Business requirements
- Experience developing data analytics tools to identify process improvement opportunities within large and complex customs datasets
- Experience with both Legacy and modern software platforms
- Familiarity with software/systems transitions
- Supported the development of Customs metrics based on documentation of proper data safe sources
