Position and Responsibilities
Support Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation (NMAC) Accounting, Reporting and Internal Control Group reporting and monthly transaction requirements. Prepare monthly internal management reports.
Work with other departments to support quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, required audit reports, management reports, parent company reports, Treasury requests and government and tax reports.
Serve as lead preparer/reviewer for monthly account reconciliations and preparer/reviewer of monthly journal entries for various companies under US GAAP and IAS/GRAPH ensuring all entries are posted and closed within designated time frames. Including research and analysis of our various databases.
Support preparation of financial information for public debt offerings.
Support quarterly and year-end audits for multiple companies.
Account for debt (asset backed securitization transactions), retail notes receivable and leases, including loss reserves, sub-entity eliminations to parent company, dividend calculations, and reconciliation of multiple sets of books monthly.
Responsible for the reconciliation of the operating leases credit impairment.
Act as a project leader as projects arise.
Regularly review processes for improvements, make recommendations and implement solutions. Updates management on operational and financial issues that have impact on company performance. Develops strategies to maximize opportunities and mitigate risks.
Perform other duties as needed included but not limited to financial analyses and manages information requests as required.
Interacts with departmental directors and managers, may also interface with accounting managers of affiliates or parent company. Contributes to building brand value and achieving enduring profitable growth.
A bachelor's degree in accounting is required, as is six or more months of progressive accounting experience at a professional level. Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS is required. Strong personal computer skills required (Excel, Word and other PC applications). Fluency in English is required. SAP skills are a plus. Excellent organizational, problem solving, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential. Demonstration of good leadership abilities and good relationship among team is essential and critical.
