Program Manager (“PM”) ? Job Description

 

This position is responsible for the operational and financial performance, people development, and positive client relationship, as well as organic business growth.

 

The PM is responsible for driving the operations of multiple Brand Advocate programs and ultimately for merchandising excellence performed by Brand Advocates (BA), their Field Managers (FM), Client Services (CSM) and Operations (OM) management. The PM will also be responsible for the communication between Company stakeholders and the Supplier. Below is summary of key responsibilities:

 

?   Serve as the primary client contact and daily interface to understand and manage client expectations

?   Hiring, training, and management of Field Managers(s), Client Service Manager and Operations Manager.

?   Develop strong rapport with management staff and lead through consistent, professional communication and implementation of best practices (operational procedures)

?   Monitor field compliance and proactively manage field performance opportunities by utilizing program developed processes and systems

?   By program resource allocation and management to meet Company minimum visits per month per store as well as budgeted hours per week/month requirements according to SLA

?   Responsible for operational and financial performance as well as organic growth of each Company program

?   Resolution of escalations for all store/retailer related issues

?   Management of in-stocks and replenishment process to meet Company scope of agreement

?   Escalating inventory supply restraints

?   Escalating enterprise merchandising and program guidelines discrepancies

?   Reporting merchandising results by BA program, including visit compliance, budgeted hours compliance and all predefined Key Performance Metrics (KPIs)

?   Providing support to the Company Managers with response turnaround time within 24 hours

?   Proactively providing recommendations to Company on optimizations per merchandising results

?   Identifies program execution gaps and proactively provides visibility on gaps

?   Setting of short and long term strategic direction for each program and identifying necessary services and resources required to implement strategy

?   Planning and deploying remerchandising activities and ensuring that staff and supplies are available to meet remerchandising deadlines set by Company

?   Anticipates potential problems, plans and proactively communicates accordingly

?   Work with direct reports and internal support to ensure that the services are aligned to deliver the “perfect visit” and that the services are effectively delivered

The PM is responsible for ensuring that Company merchandising standards are being upheld with every visit by managing the communication, infrastructure, and operations of the program. Must be dedicated to the Company and work designated days on-site at local Company office.

 

This role can be fulfilled with a candidate with the below background:

 

?   Strong proficiency with MS Office suite (advanced Excel, word, Outlook)

?   Excellent leadership skills and prior management experience required

?   Superior interpersonal skills to work closely with multiple team members and client contacts

?   Strong proficiency with MS Office suite (advanced Excel, word, Outlook)

?   Results-oriented

?   Attention to detail

?   Innovative thinker and problem solver

?   Exceptional written and verbal skills to communicate with diverse team

?   Analytical and able to proactively determine escalation points

?   Proven success in senior level client relationship development and management

?   Outstanding prioritization and organizational skills with ability to pro-actively communicate

?   A high level of fluency in English required

 

 The candidate must have 7+ years of experience in merchandising program management.
